In March Amy McGlashan and her mum, Anne, ran the Inverness half marathon to raise money for Edith's Home. They completed the race in a fantastic time of 2 hours 10 minutes, and raised a whopping £363.
Amy recently shared why she was so keen to raise money for Edith's Home:
"In August 2014 I got the chance to visit Uganda with the Edith's home summer team. While I was there I saw first hand the amazing work that this small charity do for HIV/AIDS orphans in Kumi District in the Teso region of Uganda and how much they have achieved in just 11 years."
We're so grateful to Amy (and her mum!) for all the hard work they put into the race, all those hours of training to prepare and the sore muscles afterwards! Their efforts will change the lives of some of the poorest children in Uganda.
