Get Involved – funding injection required for staff training
Government officials are so pleased with the Vocational Training Centre's progress that they have upgraded the level education the centre can provide. This is testament to the fantastic work of the centre staff. However this means that two of our senior teachers, Robert and Emma, need to gain further qualifications in order to teach at this higher level. This will be a significant undertaking for them personally, as it will mean attending college at weekends as well as fitting college work around their Monday to Friday working week. It is also a sizeable financial outlay for Edith's Home, and will demand resources we do not currently receive as part of our regular income – it will cost approximately £5,000 to fund their training. However, it will mean that the standard of education the centre can provide will be higher, which in turn will mean the orphans who come through the school will begin their working lives with an even better chance of breaking the cycle of deprivation in their families. If you would like to give regularly to this particular cause, or alternatively give a one off donation, please do get in touch.
