Further Information

Edith's Home employs around 10 local people to help deliver training programs, give one to one support, to administrate the project, to farm the land, and for teaching and security. UK teams provide a regular link between the Ugandan project and the UK support base. The team attends a formal AGM with the Ugandan staff, and evaluates the progress of the project. Sponsors receive personal feedback from the orphans.

Edith's Home is named after an elderly lady whose heart for orphaned children inspired our team during time in Ngora. Although Edith has no children of her own, her time and resources are poured into children from her extended family who have been orphaned for a variety of reasons: AIDS, poverty and war.

In 2006 Edith's Home became a part of the City Life Church Charity (UK registered charity number 1100602). All Edith's Home accounts are audited along with the church accounts, but all donations to the project are kept separate.

Our vision is to build a sustainable, empowered, ambitious generation who know and love God and who are equipped with integrity and vision for the future.
